FAQ
Common Questions
Do you accept my insurance?
PowerStride Physical therapy and Wellness is an out-of-network provider, which means we do not bill insurance directly.

This allows us to deliver care that’s tailored to your needs and not dictated by insurance limitations or coverage restrictions. Our goal is to provide the highest quality treatment without compromise.
We believe in transparency, so you’ll always receive clear, upfront pricing before your sessions begin. That way, you won’t be surprised by hidden fees or unexpected bills.

If you have out-of-network benefits, we’re happy to provide a detailed invoice (a “superbill”) that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
What are the benefits of cash-based?
Here's how our cash-based model benefits you:

-
Unlimited Visits: No limitation from your insurance. You get the care you need, when you need it.
-
Personalized 1-on-1 Attention: Every session is dedicated entirely to you, with your therapist focused on your goals and progress.
-
Whole-Person Care: We take the approach to treat you as a whole. We can treat different body parts all at the same visit/ plan of care.
-
Fewer Visits, Greater Impact: Because our sessions are longer and more focused, many clients only need to come once a week instead of 2–3 times.
-
Transparent Pricing: No surprise bills. You’ll know exactly what to expect from day one.
-
Flexible Support: If cost is a concern, talk to us. We’re committed to helping you find a solution that works.
Do I need a doctor's referral to see the therapist?
Direct Access legislation in Florida allows you to see a physical therapist without an ambulatory referral from a physician. This rule means you can self-refer and is especially helpful for sudden injuries or conditions requiring an immediate attention, recurring pain, or individuals who would like to simply avoid additional doctor's office visits.
What should I expect on my first PT appointment?
Your first visit will be 60 minutes long. At initial evaluation, your therapist will do a full assessment including your detailed medical history, posture, movement patterns, strength, and balance. All treatment visit will be geared towards your individual goals and needs. These treatment sessions will also be 60minutes in duration.
Is there a specific outfit I need to wear?
Wear something you will be comfortable to move in.
A gym attire works best for treatment sessions, ensure to have good footwear for proper support.
Can I only see a PT if I am injured?
No, you do not need to be injured to see a therapist. The unique skill set that therapy can provide will help you improve your overall function, decrease your risk for injury, and correct your movement patterns. You can see us to ensure you are injury-free while you are training for your marathon, a tournament, or simply just being active in your daily activities.
